Constructed Wetlands
The "Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen" is a university college, part of the K.U.Leuven Association. Since 1994 members of the department Agro- and Biotechnology are involved in research on constructed wetlands.
The research group has different types of pilot plants to evaluate the possibilities of constructed wetlands. The research focuses on two main subjects: the removal of nutrients and the removal of fungal spores with constructed wetlands.
